Council makes smoking in public places illegal; casinos, ceremonies OK

WINDOW ROCK — The Navajo Nation Council ended several years of emotional debate Wednesday by approving a controversial resolution regulating smoking in public places and workplaces, with a temporary exemption for casinos.
